Framed Thomas Landseer's A Stag at Bay Print - circa 1894
Sir Edwin Landseer's A Stag at Bay was originally shown at the Royal Academy in 1846.
This print, produced in 1894 and framed in 1928 shows Landseer's enraged Stag standing in water over a hunting dog that lies on its back as another hound snarls to his side.
Print is in somewhat poor shape. There is wave action on the print (I didn't want to open up the back of the frame to see if I could correct this), and there is slight damage down the center of the print from it having been originally folded.
The frame is pretty scratched up at well, but overall I still find it amazing, and it is sure to enhance your space with "Post-Victorian-hunting-lodge" vibes.
Frame Measures 23" by 19"
